Halden started as a spreadsheet with a login screen. Freelancers loved the idea, but churned during onboarding — eleven steps, three forms and a verification flow that felt like a bank audit. We cut it to four screens and a single decision.

The redesign focused on a simple promise: open the app, understand your month in five seconds. Every surface was rebuilt around one number — what you can safely spend today.

One system, three platforms

We shipped a token-based design system shared by iOS, Android and web. Primitives stay constant; components adapt to each platform’s conventions, so the product feels native everywhere without three separate libraries.
